Experience Kelowna's best Therapeutic Yoga Clinic

Therapeutic yoga is a style that involves applications of gentle yoga exercises using therapeutic techniques. It can focus on specific areas of need a person has. This may include working to improve moving, sleeping, or areas of pain and discomfort. It can also aid in improving deep breathing.

This type of yoga starts slow, applying instruction at a slow pace and helping a person to gain skill and flexibility over time. This can help with reducing pain while pushing the body a bit further each time. Other times, it can help to break through scar tissue, a process that is often very painful, without that pain. It also works to help users develop a skill to relax tension they feel in specific areas of the body.
Engaging in this type of therapy on a routine basis can yield numerous results such as:

Often focused on improving joint function, this type of yoga helps to gradually increase the strength of those joints and the muscles and tendons that help them function.

Another component of therapeutic yoga is to focus on the mind’s health as well. While improving physical ailments is an important part of the process, this type of yoga also works to soothe stress, reduce pain or fear, and improve confidence in movement and overall function. Over time, this helps to rebuild a person’s overall physical and mental health, giving them a new view of the world around them.

Benefits of Therapeutic Yoga

Therapeutic yoga offers many benefits. Those who embrace it are sure to find a wide range of benefits from it including the following.

In many ways, this type of yoga works to create a better quality of life for people. As a very customizable strategy and something that anyone, even those with no experience with yoga can embrace, it could be exactly what you need to start the healing process. There is no pressure, impossible pose, or need for experience to thrive and benefit from this type of yoga.

What is Flow Yoga?

Flow yoga is the general term given to any style of yoga asana in which the practitioner moves dynamically from one posture immediately into another, following the breath. … In flow yoga, each movement into or out of a posture is timed with an inhalation or an exhalation in a choreographed sequence

Yoga Flow can generally be defined as a yoga class that incorporates energetic movement through a series of asanas (yoga postures), by which the student experiences a sense of fluid physical motion.

Fermata is a wonderful clinic in Kelowna. Sarah Jenkins is the best TCM Practioner and Acupuncturist I have seen in the past 20 years. She is extremely patient, knowledgeable and her treatments are very effective. The clinic is spotless, well designed and the staff are punctual. Highly recommend!

I was dealing with an intolerance to fermented foods and beverages for months thinking there was no other option other than antihystemines. My typical reaction was breaking out in hives all over my body. While getting acupuncture I shared this issue with Sarah who told me she could provide traditional Chinese medicine to treat my condition. I decided I would try it thinking I might see an improvement but instead the treatment proved to be a cure. It has been over a year and I have not had a single re-occurance. Totally amazing, 5 stars for sure!!

I was seeking an acupuncturist that is skilled and uses evidence-based techniques and well as certified in Traditional Chinese Medicine. Not all acu's are certified for the herbal stuff. I've been seeing Sarah for some time now regularly, she is kind, intuitive, very knowledgable, has a tremendous amount of experience and has a thirst to learn. I love her approach and often walkout feeling very zen. Anytime I have an issue with my body, mind, spirit, she is my go to. I can't say enough good things. I am so happy to have found an amazing care-provider.

After months of not sleeping and loss of appetite due to work related stress, I decided to seek help. It only took three appointments and I'm seeing a marked improvement. I'm sleeping better and my appetite has improved thanks to Fermata Integrated Health. My monthly calendar will include a slot for return visits.

She was polite and all. She threw in some needles. Zapped me with electricity for a good 45 seconds. Left me lying on back and then belly for 30 mins+ 30. Whole session took an hour and some. Old place in Toronto would do shiatsu massage, acupuncture, and then electric stimulation u til muscles relaxed. 2 stars because there is improvement but at this point it might as well be placebo. An hour to just work on forearms and they feel tight. 10/10 wont go back.
